About the Gallery

Brenton & Sharon Kinnear have been involved with Antiques since 1984. From an early stage, Brenton has had a strong interest in Australian Colonial Furniture.

Today, as a result of decades of experience working on pre 1850's Australian furniture, Brenton has become one of the most experienced conservators in this field, having worked on major pieces for many serious collections around the country.

With an emphasis on retaining original finishes, without compromising the practicality of the piece, being cabinetwork perfect, all work is undertaken in the 19th century manner, with attention to detail paramount.

Situated in a rural location, halfway between Coffs Harbour and Grafton on the Orara Way, Kinnear's have an ideal set-up for the sale and conservation of eary Australian furniture.

With a large workshop and outbuildings housing many future projects, together with a small gallery displaying original and rare examples from the 19th century, Kinnears are well placed to cater to the requirements of serious collectors who require pieces in original and patinated condition.
